 | | Class 319 EMUs
Digital photographs of class 319 Thameslink units.
Photographs include all of the 18 units to carry Southern green livery. These were split into two operating areas, some with Southern, and the remainder with Thameslink (First Capital Connect). The period that all 18 units ran in Southern livery was very brief - only about four months! 319219 was the last to appear in Southern livery during the summer of 2007. By November 2007 First Capital Connect had applied Barbie livery to 319006 - the first 319 to loose Southern livery.
The December 2007 timetable change reduced the number of 319's operating for Southern to eight units. By December 2008 this had reduced to four units, which continued operating a few peak hour Southern services until the 20th of March 2009. Since then the entire class 319 fleet is in service with FCC on Thameslink services.
The units that were maintained by Southern were always kept in immaculate condition. Since transferring to FCC the ex Southern units have gained a layer of grime.

Photographs of platform tiles - very few stations retain their original tiling, however the tile designs have been replicated in some recent station upgrades. The photographs in this collection show original tiling unless stated.

 | | Model Rail 
A garden railway in Sussex created since 1989, but much rebuilt over the years. The original track was on timber, but this has gradualy been replaced with concrete, the final timber sections being removed in 2005. The layout was themed on Cornwall from the 1960's onwards. A trip to the USA in 1999 resulted in the layout taking on a double identity. The layout can therefore be USA in the 2000's, or Cornwall in any decade since the 1960's. As no buildings stay in the garden, it easy to position the appropriate buildings for GB or for the USA to suit.
